Chronic lower back pain can have a big impact on moving, working and daily activities. At Horizon 65, we support people with persistent or recurring lower back pain using our own CORE principle.
In this programme, you learn again to move ergonomically, in a controlled way and with confidence. Step by step, we build core stability, strength, movement control and general resilience, tailored to your body and your personal goals.
The programme

The CORE programme always starts with a thorough assessment of about one hour. During this first appointment, we map out your complaints, movement patterns, abilities, limitations and goals. Based on this assessment, we decide together which support suits you best.
The programme includes up to 12 physiotherapy sessions. These sessions are part of regular physiotherapy and are supervised individually by a physiotherapist. During the sessions we focus on, among other things:
- improving your movement control and core stability;
- building strength and load capacity;
- learning safe and efficient movement strategies;
- applying these principles in daily activities;
- gradually resuming or expanding activities that matter to you;
- continuing the exercises and movement principles you have learned on your own.
The content and length of the programme are adapted to your situation. If the assessment results are favourable and a full individual programme does not seem necessary, we can agree together to shorten it.
After the physiotherapy programme
Once you have made enough progress and can take part safely on your own, you can move on to the CORE group classes within our preventive support. These classes are not part of physiotherapy and focus on maintaining and further developing:
- strength and core stability;
- movement control and coordination;
- an active and healthy exercise habit;
- confidence in your own body;
- a lasting continuation of your exercise programme.
The initial assessment is the basis for deciding together whether the group classes suit you at that point. That way you take part safely, with exercises that match your abilities.
